ESSAY COMPETITION

WHAT?

This competition is designed to engage Lebanese high school students in articulating their vision for the role of the new president of the Lebanese Republic in advance of the upcoming election, and to provide the winners with a forum to present and debate their opinions in a moderated, public event.

WHO?

The first 150 students between 14 and 19 years old to register for the competition will be notified by July 1st, 2022 that their participation is confirmed.

HOW?

Register on www.emil.org.lb by filling the attached form.
Deadline: June 30, 2022.

Author and submit an essay in the following format by July 15, 2022 :

• Between 1 and 4 pages
• Written in your choice of Arabic, English or French
• Typed in Font 14, single spaced, on A4 paper with normal margins
• Submitted electronically in word and PDF on contact@emil.org.lb

Jury will read all essays and select 6 winners - 2 from each age group (14–15, 16–17, 18–19) - who will be notified on August 8, 2022

Prizes will be presented in a public event showcasing the competition and allowing the winners to present their visions in a moderated public forum on August 17, 2022
